Switching from Aider to Claude Code

A brief update on my AI programming workflow transition from Aider to Claude Code
Switching from Aider to Claude Code

A few months ago, I wrote about using Aider for AI programming. I've since switched to Claude Code.

How I use AI for programming
Sharing my setup of Aider, an open-source CLI for AI programming, with tips on configuration and useful commands.

Why I Made the Switch

There are two main reasons that led me to the transition:

  • Better Agentic Workflow: I have found the agentic workflow in Claude Code to be better.
  • Cost-Effectiveness: I can use my existing Claude subscription making it a cost-effective choice.

Looking Forward

I am currently exploring OpenCode as well for my AI programming workflow.
